Real results so far
A local bakery now keeps over £1,000 a month, and a small independent shop around £100 a month. Every business is different, so we'll only quote figures once we've seen your actual costs — and if you're already on a good rate, we'll say so.

We compare card payment providers — we don't sell terminals.
Merchant Collective is an independent UK comparison and advisory service. We review your current statement, benchmark it against multiple card payment providers (myPOS among them) and give you a plain-English written comparison — usually within one working day. Our comparison is free to you; if you choose a provider we introduce you to, that provider pays us a commission.
And we don't hand you over and disappear. If you decide to switch, we handle the paperwork, the application and the onboarding for you, so setup is quick and you only ever deal with us. After you go live we stay on as your account manager — a direct line to a real person, not a queue at a big corporation.

One of the options we compare
Example: how the myPOS Ultra compares.
We don't sell or supply terminals. This is simply one of the many provider packages we benchmark for UK businesses, shown here as an example of the detail we compare — rates, hardware, settlement and contract terms. If another provider fits your business better, that is what our comparison will recommend.
Merchant Collective is an independent comparison and advisory service. We are not a payment provider, a bank, a terminal retailer, myPOS or part of the myPOS group. All hardware, pricing, contracts and product terms are set and supplied by the provider you choose. "myPOS" and "myPOS Ultra" are trade marks of their respective owner.
Compare this against your current setupInstant access to funds
myPOS states that settled funds appear in your myPOS business account in real time, subject to their terms and account verification.
Long battery life
myPOS quotes up to 10 days of standby battery, so the device can cover a full trading day between charges.
Built-in 4G data included
A SIM with data is included by myPOS, so the terminal can take payments without relying on your WiFi.
Transparent pricing
Your rate is quoted in writing before you decide, so you can compare it like-for-like with your current provider.
All-in-one terminal
A modern payment device combining portability, printing and card acceptance in one unit.
PCI DSS compliant hardware
The terminal is certified payment hardware, and card data is handled by the provider's PCI DSS compliant systems.

How we work
Independent, transparent, no obligation.
Merchant Collective is an independent comparison and advisory service. We are not a payment provider, a bank, a terminal retailer or myPOS — we compare providers and help you choose.
We compare more than one provider
We look at your current agreement alongside options from several UK payment providers, rather than pushing a single product at everyone.
We show you the numbers
Your comparison is written down: current costs, proposed costs and the assumptions behind them, so you can check the maths yourself.
We'll tell you to stay put if that's right
If your existing setup is already competitive, we'll say so. There's no obligation to switch at any point.
We're your account manager afterwards
Choose us and we stay your single point of contact: a direct line to your own account manager for pricing, hardware or payout questions — no ticket numbers, no waiting in a corporate queue.
We handle the paperwork end to end
If you go ahead, we take care of the whole setup — applications, paperwork, onboarding and installation. You deal with us, not with the provider's call centre.
We're paid by the provider, not by you
Our comparison is free to you. If you choose to sign up with a provider we introduce you to, that provider pays us a commission.
Savings depend on your current agreement, card mix and transaction profile, and are never guaranteed. Any figures we quote are estimates based on the information you give us.
Your next step
Ready to see what you could be paying?
It takes under a minute — name, business, email and phone. Whether you already take card payments or are setting up for the first time, there's no obligation and no pushy sales calls. If your current setup already looks competitive, we'll tell you.

FAQ
Straight answers.
We look at your current provider, fees and terminal setup, and compare it to solutions better suited to how you trade. You get a clear, written comparison with honest recommendations.
Yes. We are an independent introducer, not a payment provider, bank or part of myPOS. We compare options from several UK providers. Our service is free to you — if you decide to sign up with a provider we introduce you to, that provider pays us a commission. That commission never changes the price you are quoted.
Most businesses complete the comparison within a few working days. If you decide to proceed, we handle the setup so you're not chasing anyone.
In most cases, yes. As part of your comparison we'll look at your current agreement and let you know honestly whether switching makes sense.
Yes. Saving money for businesses with an existing terminal is what we're known for, but we set up new businesses too. With no statement to compare, we start from how you plan to trade — where you take payment, typical transaction size and expected turnover — then compare providers, recommend the right terminal and handle the whole setup so you start on a competitive rate.

No. Any figures we show are estimates based on the information you provide and the assumptions we state. Actual costs depend on your card mix, transaction sizes, provider terms and your existing agreement.
Not for the myPOS Ultra — myPOS includes a data SIM with the terminal, so it can take payments over mobile data where there is coverage.
