Who we are
Merchant Collective Ltd is a UK-based independent advisory service, registered in England and Wales (company number 17455050), with a registered office in Manchester. We are a small, hands-on team, so you deal directly with the person doing the work. We are not a payment provider, bank or acquirer, and we are not an official entity of myPOS or any other provider we compare. Our work is to read your current costs carefully, compare what is available across multiple providers, and explain the difference in plain English.
How we work
Every comparison starts with real numbers — ideally a recent merchant statement, or your expected turnover if you're a new business without one. We assess transaction rates, per-item authorisation fees, terminal rental, service charges and settlement times together, because a headline rate on its own rarely reflects the true cost. If your current arrangement is already competitive, we will tell you so.
How we are paid
Our comparison is free and there is no obligation to switch or sign up. If you choose to proceed with a provider we introduce you to, we may receive a commission from that provider. That commission never changes the price you are quoted.
What we will not do
We do not cold-pressure businesses, we do not promise guaranteed savings, and we do not sell your details to third parties. What we collect and why is set out in our privacy policy.
