Refer & Earn £50
Know a business that could save on card payments?
Introduce them to Merchant Collective. We’ll help them compare suitable payment solutions, and when an eligible referral becomes an active merchant, you’ll receive £50.
Free to join. You don’t sell payment services, negotiate contracts or manage the merchant — you simply make the introduction. Not every business will save; we help them review and compare suitable options.
How it works
Three simple steps.
Create your account
Register your details and securely add your payout information.
Introduce a business
Submit the business details through your personal referral dashboard.
Track your reward
Follow the referral’s progress and see when your £50 reward becomes payable and when it has been paid.
What you get
Simple, transparent and tracked.
£50 per eligible merchant
For each referral that activates and meets the scheme conditions.
A personal dashboard
Track every referral you submit, in one place.
Clear statuses
Plain-English progress updates at every stage.
Email notifications
We let you know when something meaningful changes.
A full reward record
See rewards pending, payable and paid.
No selling required
You don’t need to become a payment specialist.
Submitting a referral does not guarantee a reward. The business must qualify and activate, and Merchant Collective must receive the qualifying commission, in line with the scheme terms.
Who can refer?
Anyone who knows a UK business.
Friends, customers, accountants, suppliers, business owners — if you know a shop, restaurant, café, salon, tradesperson or any other UK business that takes card payments or needs to, you can introduce them.
Please only share a business’s contact details where you have a legitimate reason and, where needed, their permission. Never share personal or confidential information without it.
FAQs
Questions, answered.
Is it free to join?+
Yes. There is no cost to join or to submit referrals.
How much can I earn?+
£50 for each eligible referral that becomes an active merchant and meets the scheme conditions. There is no cap on the number of referrals you can submit.
When does a referral qualify?+
When the business meets the eligibility terms, is not a duplicate or existing customer or prospect, becomes an active merchant through us, we receive the qualifying commission from the provider, and an administrator approves it.
How do I track my referral?+
Every referral appears in your dashboard with a reference number, its current status, the date of the last update and a history of changes. We also email you when there is a meaningful update.
How and when will I be paid?+
By bank transfer to the account in your payout details, within 24 hours of Merchant Collective receiving the qualifying commission for that referral. Your dashboard shows when a reward is payable and when it has been paid.
What happens if a business has already been referred?+
Only the first valid referral for a business can earn a reward. If the business is already a customer or an active prospect, the referral will not qualify. We review possible duplicates individually and explain the outcome in your dashboard.
Can I refer multiple businesses?+
Yes. Each eligible business you introduce can earn its own £50 reward.
Do I need to sell anything myself?+
No. You simply introduce the business. We handle the conversation, the comparison and any application.
What happens if a merchant cancels?+
If the business never activates, or cancels before we receive the qualifying commission, the referral will not qualify. See the scheme terms for how provider clawbacks are handled.
Why do I need to provide bank details?+
So we can pay your rewards by bank transfer. We only ask for the account holder name, sort code and account number.
How is my information protected?+
Bank details are encrypted, never shown in full after saving and never sent by email. Only authorised Merchant Collective administrators can access them to make a payment, and each access is logged.
Your next referral could be worth £50.
